"Inspiring building, fantastic location, welcoming owners"
We stayed for three nights in early Spring 2012 with our young baby. A lovely room within a beautiful building & with stunning views from our balcony. We were made to feel very welcome. Location is very peaceful, but still very quick walk into town. Recommended!

I booked this for my wife's 30th after seeing it on Grand Designs. The hotel lived up to our expectations and more. The views were stunning and the owners were very friendly. The breakfast hamper was a lovely touch and it was nice that you weren't restricted to set meal times. It's situated far enough away from the centre for peace and tranquilty but close enough if you fancy nipping out for a drink, meal or shopping. We would highly recommend this to friends and relatives.

We had torrential rain, 50 mile an hour winds, icy temperatures and and still had one of the best breaks ever! It was a unique experience staying at the Dome House: a beautiful building, quirky & modern facilities with a breathtaking view of Windermere & the hills.

I recently saw the updated Grand Designs episode featuring the Dome House and was excited that it had been completed, against all the odds. I live in Australia but just happened to be in the UK for Christmas so I jumped at the chance to stay and meet Robert and Milla.

Our stay at the Dome Home was to get away from all the hustle and bustle and relax in some wonderful surroundings...this is exactly what we got! A peaceful location, luxurious and spacious accommodation and a very tasty morning breakfast.

Wow! Wow! Wow! After seeing The Dome House on Grand Designs we just knew we had to come and stay - and we were not disappointed.
Robert and Milla were perfect hosts and you can tell this property is a real labour of love. Everything was of th highest possible quality from the bed linen to the kitchen - just perfect. The highlight has to be lying in bed and just gazing out at a huge panoramic view of Windermere - probably one of the most spectacular in Britain - unforgettable!!
